A brand new season and Centerplate, the largest event hospitality partner to North America’s premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, is announcing a new menu lineup for the Tampa Bay Rays’ 2013 Season at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Rays fans will be about to choose from several new and re-imagined signature items this season. General fare stand items include:
Carved Turkey– Freshly carved made-to-order sandwiches
Frybread– fried dough topped with fresh fruit
Italian Hotdog– fan’s choice of a hot dog or sausage served on pizza bread and topped with peppers, onions and deep fried potatoes
Rays Souvenir Helmet Nachos– Nacho chips smothered with cheese, guacamole, shredded chicken, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, salsa, refried beans, black olives, and jalapenos all served in a souvenir baseball helmet
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich– Breaded chicken breast deep-fried and tossed in buffalo wing sauce. Served on a bun with lettuce and bleu cheese dressing
Centerplate is introducing a new program called Chef Naturals. This new program features seven tasty dishes, some sports classics, and some soon-to-be favorites, all featuring naturally sourced ingredients including: wild white shrimp served with a spicy cocktail sauce and lemon and lime wedges, all natural frankfurters with caraway seed Riesling sauerkraut, tomato fondue, and natural potato rolls and Flourless Chocolate Cake with chipotle-spiked natural Mexican cocoa ganache and fresh strawberries, among others.
The popular Everglades BBQ Smokehouse Restaurant in Centerfield is also getting some new additions, including a Smoked Half Chicken and Ribs smoked fresh on-site combo plate and a nut pie sundae.
As one of the most affordable ballparks in the country, Centerplate and the Tampa Bay Rays will be offering several items at $5 each. Centerplate and the Tampa Bay Rays have also added new merchandise items for sale including plush DJ Kitty toys, a ‘Pin of the Month’ and a newly themed cowbell series.
