Classique Catering Taps Talents of Award-Winning Pizza Maker Bill Pustari
The Sacramento Convention Center, in conjunction with hospitality partner Classique Catering, a Centerplate company, is proud to announce the arrival of “APIZZA,” a brand new dining option for guests. Always seeking to improve the guest experience, Classique Catering has tapped the talents of nationally-recognized pizza master Bill Pustari, a seasoned veteran of the legendary New Haven, Connecticut pizza scene, owner of award-winning Modern Apizza, and frequent television personality, to create thin-crust pies worthy of Sacramento’s farm-to-fork flavors.
“There’s simply no substitute for real food, live events, personal interaction, learning and fun, which is why we work so hard to treat guests of the Sacramento Convention Center to an experience that makes it ‘better to be there.’ Partnering with legendary restaurateurs like Bill Pustari is part of crafting these memories and unforgettable experiences,” says Vickie Householder, General Manager of Classique Catering.
APIZZA’S selection of authentic, hand-made pies features traditional cheese and tomato, pepperoni using local pepperoni, and a vegetarian seasonal version topped with local vegetables. The menu also offers a classic Caesar salad and a selection of hot pressed panini sandwiches all made with locally sourced artisan meats, cheeses, and produce on LaBrea Ciabatta.

Centerplate’s APIZZA concept will be open to the public for lunch, as well as for convention delegates, Monday through Friday 11 am – 2 pm at the 13th Street entrance between J and K streets.
