As part of a cooperative initiative with the Giants and their other service partners, Centerplate overhauled concessions stands, built with green materials, installed energy-efficient lighting and cooking equipment, implemented waste management programs and introduced biodegradable and compostable utensils.
Limited edition apparel and keepsakes custom-designed by Centerplate for Giants fans to commemorate the World Series led to brisk in-stadium retail sales; but the food was still a highlight of the experience, living up to AT&T Field’s reputation for serving the best food in baseball, according to outlets like Travel + Leisure Magazine and the New York Times. San Francisco’s signature Crazy Crab’z sandwich, specialty beers and wine bars, and gourmet concessions were joined by “Outta Here” Cheesesteaks; a Caprese Sandwich served on sliced sourdough with mozzarella, tomato, and basil grilled and drizzled with balsamic dressing; a new classic grilled Reuben at Murph’s Irish Pub; and signature concepts from San Francisco favorites Saags Specialty Deli and BBQ legend Willie McCovey’s.
