Centerplate today announced the promotion of Cathy Green to the position of Vice President, Fifth Dining, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, which serves as the food and beverage partner to Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ms. Green brings to the role more than 15 years of direct operational oversight of food and beverage at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York, where she previously served as food and beverage director before expanding her role to assist in the launch of Sophie’s at Saks Fifth Avenue, the new fine dining restaurants named in honor of Saks icon Sophie Gimbel.
Her extensive experience in fine dining and hospitality includes strategic and operational leadership with many high-profile food and beverage brands, including The George Lang Corporation, Trump Taj Mahal, The Bostonian Hotel, Iron Horse Ranch and Vineyards, and Disneyland Paris.
Fifth Dining recently launched Sophie’s at Saks Fifth Avenue in Chicago and Sarasota, with another planned opening in Puerto Rico in 2015. “We are fortunate to have someone as experienced, effective and dynamic as Cathy on board to help guide our Fifth Dining team, and I look forward to the contributions she will make as Vice President,” said Centerplate President and CEO Chris Verros.
Ms. Green holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Hotel Administration from the Whittemore School of Business, Hotel Administration and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
